OUR ROLE
Healthcare IT Strategists, Executive Leadership, Problem Resolution

One of our clients, a three hospital healthcare system, had a mixed environment of three EHR systems — Oracle (Cerner) EHR, Siemens Soarian and Meditech.
The Oracle Health EHR was to be implemented at the hospital with legacy Soarian clinicals and revenue cycle. The system architecture was problematic due to interfacing Oracle Health EHR with the legacy Soarian revenue cycle system.
the challenge
As the go-live date was approaching, the challenges were mounting and the go-live date was delayed by several months. The implementation teams (contractors, consultants, internal staff) were blaming each other and also shifting blame on Oracle Health. The success of the implementation was in question by organization leadership and delay of the go-live was costing ~$4M monthly.
the solution
HealthTech Advisors was requested to provide executive oversight, team building and problem resolution. We had our experts take the lead and move through the integrated testing phases. Our directive was to avoid blame and take goal-based actions. Issues were stratified and escalated in a manner for rapid resolution.
the results
The teams worked together more effectively. With our focus on “making things right”, the go-live in 2025 was a success and resulted in a savings of more than $12M for additional potential delays.
